Organic Traffic Growth

Jan 2025 — Dec 2025 · Organic traffic growth · Data from Ahrefs
Objective
What we set out to achieve
HeyReach lets sales teams run LinkedIn outreach across unlimited sender accounts for a flat fee. Good product, but nobody could find it on Google. We needed to get HeyReach ranking for keywords like “LinkedIn automation tool” and “LinkedIn outreach software,” push domain authority from DR 39 to a level where they could compete with Expandi and Phantombuster, and bring in organic traffic from the sales teams and agencies who actually buy this kind of software.
Starting Point
Where HeyReach started
In January 2025, HeyReach was pulling in about 6,823 organic visitors per month. DR 39. The product was solid — unlimited sender rotation at a flat cost — but the backlink profile told a different story. Expandi sat at DR 68. Phantombuster at DR 76. Dux-Soup at DR 62. HeyReach wasn't in any of the major “best LinkedIn tools” listicles and had almost no editorial coverage anywhere.
Our Approach
60 links in 12 months at 5 per month
We built a three-pronged link building strategy targeting the LinkedIn automation and B2B sales outreach ecosystem.
Editorial Link Insertions
We found articles already ranking for LinkedIn outreach and sales automation keywords, then got HeyReach mentioned inside them with a contextual link. The readers were already researching the category, so these placements put HeyReach in front of the right people at the right time.
Listicle Placements
We got HeyReach featured in high-ranking "best LinkedIn automation tools" and "best sales outreach tools" roundups. Being listed next to Expandi, Dux-Soup, and Phantombuster on sites their buyers already read did two things: it sent referral traffic and it told Google that HeyReach belongs in the conversation.
Branded Homepage Links
We picked up branded backlinks to HeyReach's homepage from SaaS and marketing sites like Flipsnack, FlippingBook, and Venngage. These homepage links did the heavy lifting on domain authority early in the campaign, which made later editorial placements on higher-DR sites much easier to land.
Challenges
Obstacles we overcame
Saturated LinkedIn Tools SERP
Expandi, Phantombuster, Dripify, Dux-Soup — all well-funded, all DR 70+. The "best LinkedIn automation tools" listicles were locked up by these players, some with years of backlink history. Getting HeyReach added to those same roundups meant convincing editors that a DR 39 newcomer deserved a spot next to tools they'd been covering for years.
Low Starting DR Made Placements Harder
DR 39 is a tough starting point. A lot of editors won't even look at a tool below DR 50 or 60. We had to build up authority with branded homepage links first, which took the first couple months. Only after HeyReach crossed DR 50 did editors at the bigger publications start saying yes.
Results
Key takeaways

Jan 2025 — Dec 2025 · Organic traffic growth · Data from Ahrefs
Branded Links Build the Foundation
The Flipsnack, FlippingBook, and Venngage homepage links pushed HeyReach from DR 39 to 66 in 12 months. That authority gain opened doors — publications that wouldn't reply to us in month 1 were accepting pitches by month 5.
Listicle Placements Drive Compounding Visibility
After HeyReach showed up in 3 or 4 high-ranking "best LinkedIn tools" listicles, something shifted. Editors at other publications started adding it to their roundups without us even asking. Each placement made the next one easier.
Consistent Link Velocity Outperforms Bursts
We averaged 5 links per month for 12 straight months. No spikes, no gaps. The Ahrefs chart tells the story — a smooth upward curve with none of the volatility you see when link building is done in bursts.
